Lillake:

Moon Goddess; patroness of witches; female principle of the universe. Her sacred bird is the owl. She is also known as Belit-ili or Belili in Sumeria and Babylon; Lilith or Lilithu to Jews and Christians. Lillake was worshiped in Ur, her name was found on several tablets dating about 2000 BCE. Protectress of all pregnant women, mothers, and children. Wisdom, regeneration, enticing sorcery, femine allure, erotic dreams, forbidden delights, and the dangerous seductive qualities of the moon.

A witch's journal is traditionally known as a Book of Shadows. Throughout the ages witches have kept these private pages for recording their spells, rituals, herbal recipes, prayers, and any other magical material. Their Book of Shadows is meant to support their journey, provide a place to keep information that they wish to preserve, and serve as a platform for exploring thoughts and feelings, as well as magical inventions and inspirations.

What is a witch?

A witch is a woman (or man) who lives her life with the cycles of nature, attunes herself with the seasons, and sees the Earth as her mother and all living things as her family. She worships the Old Gods and Goddesses and practises the Old Ways. She works magic, holds rituals, and honors the moon.

Every woman is a witch, whether she sees it or not. She need only find that place inside of herself that is still free. It is something inside of her, psychicsensitivity, a drawing towards nature, a reverance of the Old Paths.
